Mumbai Indians managed to hold their nerve to beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by four wickets in the ongoing Women's Premier League 2025 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Argentina's Monja Federico opened the scoring through a field goal just in the third minute as India fell behind early in the game. India did not take long to level the scores with Araijeet Singh Hundal finding the net in the seventh minute.

After opting to bowl first, Mumbai Indians were put on the back foot early on by Smriti Mandhana who took the attack to the opposition.

Shabnim Ismail had the last laugh and sent Mandhana packing. Danni Wyatt-Hode, who looked to break free, was also sent back for nine. 

Ellyse Perry’s magnificent 81 and Richa Ghosh’s 28-run cameo helped RCB post 167 for the loss of seven in their 20 overs. 

Chasing a slightly below par total at the Chinnaswamy, Mumbai Indians were off to a good start as Yastika Bhatia punished Renuka Singh’s indisciplined bowling.

Kim Garth bowled beautifully to pick Bhatia and Sciver-Brunt and get RCB back into the contest. Harmanpreet Kaur took matters into her own hands, kept her cool and scored a fantastic fifty. 

Eventually, 16-year-old G Kamalini and Amanjot Kaur drove Mumbai Indians home at the M Chinnaswamy to take all two points.
